Brewer’s yeast is not new to the dairy feed industry. Past studies have shown inclusion of brewer’s yeast to the TMR has lowered dry matter intake and at the same time increased milk production, therefore the efficiency of milk production was improved. (Norwood TMR-BLY trial, Mar 87).
Along with the energy content of the product the amino acids and trace mineral balances of brewer’s yeast have also been considered extremely beneficial to dairy animals.
